Hello, and welcome to my blog.

I'm Ruqiu — you can just call me Qiu. I'm currently a university student. The name was randomly generated back when I played Subway Surfers as a kid — it was the first game I ever played, and the name has stuck with me ever since.

My current tech stack:

• Primarily use Java for backend development.
• Python for scripting and writing crawlers.
• MySQL is my most-used database; I only touch MongoDB when writing crawlers, and I know a bit of Redis.
• Frontend skills are a work in progress — mainly TypeScript and Vue 3.
• I also know a tiny bit of C, just enough for the basic syntax.

I'm also a fairly laid-back anime fan. The series that got me into it all was Darling in the Franxx. I dabble in all kinds of works, but I've actually finished very few of them. I have a soft spot for short visual novels with a strong, immersive atmosphere — like eden*, Planetarian, and Narcissu. My all-time favorite is eden*; the visual novel that got me into the genre was the 9-nine series. Lately I've been exploring Key's catalog, and when I love something, I'll revisit it over and over.

I enjoy listening to music in my spare time — the vast majority of it is instrumental background music from visual novels.

When it comes to games, I'm mostly into rhythm games. I'm a hopelessly clumsy Muse Dash player, and recently I've been trying out maimai. Beyond that, I hardly play anything else, though I'll occasionally team up with friends for some co-op.
